Macklind Appliance is the name for gallery operations at 5832 Macklind Avenue. Built in 1929, the building’s original tenant was an awning company, then a delicatessen and eventually an appliance shop. By the 1980’s the building was owned by artist-educator Rob Sadler who offered art classes for adults. To this day, the building has been under the care of artist-educators.

Macklind Appliance will feature quarterly group shows, thematically co-curated by Jessica Mannisi: Five artists, one work from each addressing a single word or idea. Pop-up exhibitions throughout the year will also round out the exhibition program.
