According to Carla P., Vice President of Residential Managment, “Do to the location, we do expect to attract some students, as well as professionals working in Cortex, BJC and other major employers. The apartments will be rented by the unit, not by the bed.”
I was excited to learn more about these units, I am just surprised that the rent is not expected to include utilities/cable/internet, and that each unit is metered separately. Other new properties in the area like West Pine Lofts and The Standard are renting at similar rates, but include utilities and internet/cable. This difference may be due to the fact that Piazza at West Pine is renting by the apartment, not by the bed like West Pine Lofts and The Standard.
As of right now, the website for the property is not live, but is expected to by up mid-january. They expect to start renting the units as soon as late-spring. As of now, they were not able to provide any further renderings of the project, but I was informed that they would forward me the images as soon as they are completed.
The construction company, Cornerstone Development is the creator of some fantastic properties in the St. Louis area. One of their recent properties that I find quite nice is pictured below at 6615 Alamo, which is a 9-unit condominium development in the Clayton Demun neighborhood.
