Tennessee Williams (1911-1983) is America’s greatest playwright. His plays, which have won multiple Pulitzer Prizes, include The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Rose Tattoo, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Suddenly Last Summer, Sweet Bird of Youth, Camino Real, and The Night of the Iguana.
About The Festival:
–Mission: to enrich the cultural life of St. Louis by producing an annual theater festival and other artistic and educational events that celebrate the art and influence of Tennessee Williams.
–Timetable: May 11-15, 2016, featuring events, plays, readings, panel discussions, and educational activities.
–Location: all around Grand Center
–Outreach: to all under-served St. Louis youth as participants and spectators.
–Collaboration: partnerships with local, national, and international theater companies and arts organizations.
Kickoff Party
