Tennessee Williams Festival – St. Louis 2016


“The violets in the mountains have broken the rocks!” -Camino Real

Tennessee Williams (1911-1983) is America’s greatest playwright. His plays, which have won multiple Pulitzer Prizes, include The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Rose Tattoo, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Suddenly Last Summer, Sweet Bird of Youth, Camino Real, and The Night of the Iguana. 

About The Festival:

Mission: to enrich the cultural life of St. Louis by producing an annual theater festival and other artistic and educational events that celebrate the art and influence of Tennessee Williams.

Timetable: May 11-15, 2016, featuring events, plays, readings, panel discussions, and educational activities.

Location: all around Grand Center

Outreach: to all under-served St. Louis youth as participants and spectators.

Collaboration: partnerships with local, national, and international theater companies and arts organizations.


Kickoff Party

I went to a lovely Central West End condo in Maryland plaza for the kickoff party. It was fabulous and I cannot wait for the actual festival! Check out a few of the pictures below…
