In her lifetime, Rebecca Starr Rothman, affectionately known as “Becky, the Queen of Carpet,” became a beloved local figure, capturing hearts as she glided on her magic carpet around the Gateway Arch in TV ads for her business, Becky’s Carpet & Tile Superstore.
Rothman, a vibrant soul with a heart for charity, dedicated her time and talents to numerous local causes. Her legacy of helping others lives on following her recent passing in May.
In collaboration with Jonnco Estate Sales, Rothman’s daughter, Rachel Reynolds, has launched an online auction featuring Becky’s collection of designer items. The proceeds from the auction will be directed to Dress for Success Midwest.
The auction showcases an array of casual and formal wear, outerwear, shoes, accessories, and bags and even includes an autographed headshot from April 2023. Bidding is open until Wednesday, August 23, at 9 p.m.
Following the online auction, a second sale, “Becky Rothman’s Designer and Accessories Sale Part 2,” will occur for two days. On Saturday, August 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m., the event will be held at The American Legion Post 397 building in Creve Coeur.

The sale will feature over 250 items, spanning designer dresses, Dior shoes, Louis Vuitton jeans, and brands like Steve Madden, Baker, Beverly Feldman, and more. These items are meticulously maintained and ready for new owners.
Reynolds reminisces about her mother’s dedication, even helping individuals at Dress For Success select outfits. She fondly recalls, “She always loved a good ‘fashion show’ when I bought new outfits, and I know she’d be honored to see her clothing help dress others in the area and support a local charity.”
