ModernSTL 2023 Tour at Barrett Brae | May 6th, 2023

If you’re a mid-century architecture and design fan, you will want to attend the ModernSTL 2023 Tour at Barrett Brae this Saturday, May 6th, from 1 PM to 6 PM. Tour eight different homes in the iconic St. Louis neighborhood of Barrett Brae. All tour proceeds benefit the ModernSTL Preservation fund.

Founded in 1955, the word “Brae” is Scottish for “hillside,” and it’s an apt description for this neighborhood. The mid-century homes are nestled into the rolling hills north of Barrett Station, and Big Bend roads, and the community is known for its unique architecture and design.

One of the featured homes on tour belongs to my friends Mike Knoll and Pete Jusich! Their house is a standout example of mid-century architecture, and you can see a sneak peek of their house in a recent St. Louis Post Dispatch feature HERE!

To participate in the tour, you’ll need to purchase a ticket. There are two check-in locations: 737 Cheviot and 2401 St. Giles. After you purchase your ticket, you’ll receive a confirmation email. You must show this email at one of the two check-in locations to obtain your tour ticket and map.
