You Can Now Rent The Beach House From HBO’s The Undoing

The mystery on the HBO limited series The Undoing may have been solved when the finale aired this past Sunday night, but fans of the thriller now have the chance to rent a piece of the show on Airbnb. The lavish beach house where Nicole Kidman’s character and her son flee after they are thrust into the spotlight when her husband (played by Hugh Grant) is accused of murder is actually a rental property on Long Island’s North Fork.

The kitchen was largely left as-is for filming.

Running around $1,000 per night, the six-bedroom, four-bathroom residence was built in 1893 as a Coast Guard station and boasts a charming five-story tower with panoramic views. It is a classic wood-shingled beach house with multiple porches and is furnished with vintage pieces. The property is set on three acres and features a private beach on the Long Island Sound, a swimming pool, and a jungle gym for kids.

The home can sleep 13 guests total.

For The Undoing, set decorator Keri Lederman used the same kitchen decor, tables, and chairs that renters will find in the home, though she added plenty of accessories from ABC Carpet & Home in Manhattan and Ruby Beets in Sag Harbor, utilizing a color scheme of blues and greens. Lederman’s goal was to make the house, which belongs to Donald Sutherland’s character in the show, look “beautiful but withdrawn.”

Fans of the HBO show Girls, which ran from 2012 to 2017, will also recognize this residence as the place where Hannah (Lena Dunham), Marnie (Allison Williams), Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet), and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) spend a tension-filled weekend that culminates in a memorable diatribe from Shoshanna against the other three.
