Last weekend I hosted a group of 12 at our farmhouse in Pike County. Of course the weather was perfect….though cool enough in the evening to light a bonfire and a fire in the main fireplace. Dinner consisted of sirloin steak, acorn squash stuffed with wild rice, brussel sprouts with Italian ham….and apple cobble…and a banana cream pie from The Blue Owl. Yum! We walked to our "sunken" graveyard in the back woods after dinner…..scary and I was surprised I could find the graves at night. Country egg casseroles in the morning following by lunch in Clarksville at Overlook Farms.
