Saks Fifth Avenue’s Shop New York event
Last week I helped host a special event at The BHive above Brennan’s in the CWE for Saks Fifth Avenue’s Shop New York event. Now through October 16th, there is a special trunk show of special designers like Kiton and more that are not usually available in the Men’s Shop of the St. Louis store.
Invited to the dinner were 20 stylish men who were treated to a special 6 course meal prepared by A.J. Brown.
About the Chef
AJ graduated from Benedictine University in 2011 with a degree in Nutrition and Food Science. After graduating from university AJ was selected as 1 of 10 students into an intensive accelerated international program to study culinary arts at the Institute of Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France in 2012.
Since, his years of training AJ has refined his abilities and craft in the professional world working in the beverage industry, fermenting/producing beer, wine, and kombucha. AJ has also helped develop programs for many success restaurants in the St. Louis area including Stone Soup Cottage. AJ’s last project has been to develop and operated the restaurant conception for the head-chef and nutritionist for the St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball team, Revel Kitchen. Revel is a fast-casual quick-service restaurant serving a variety of healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner options to the St. Louis community in Brentwood. Within 4 month of opening the doors in Brentwood, Revel was awarded Editor’s Choice for The Top A-List Restaurants by St. Louis Magazine.
AJ is currently working with his wife Kirsten to open their first location of Triangle Bakehouse and Provisions. A quick service scratch kitchen breakfast and lunch joint with attached bakehouse and provisions! They look forward to opening Triangle to the community in the coming months!
