St. Louis Food Trucks!

Check out this exciting information about our Food Trucks in St. Louis.  Honestly, I have never been to one…..though I am going!

"We are gearing up for the 2012 Food Truck Friday event series. Again we welcome the St. Louis Food Truck Association, and other participating food trucks to this year’s season. You will find us the 2nd Friday of every month on the southwest side of Tower Grove Park from 5-8pm (except for Oct. 4-7.) We can hardly wait to see the thousands of truckie loving diners who made the first Food Truck Friday season such a huge success.

Food Trucks are a trend that's been lively on the coasts for a few years now, and while they entered the dining scene in St. Louis just a short time ago, there is no question that they are here to stay. Today, an ever-growing number of trucks and wagons take to the streets each day, tweeting out their locations so hungry diners can line up for a meal on the run. St. Louisans can now get just about anything they want from these mobile culinary mavens from pizza to tacos, cupcakes to crepes', sushi to sausages, at a price that's easy on the pocketbook.

On May 11, 2012, 16 of the area's food trucks will gather for Sauce Magazine's first Food Truck Friday. You can expect this season to be even bigger than last years and everyone is ready for it. There will be plenty of goodies for all and the blue containers to recycle them in. What’s left that is.

It's no secret that things with engines and large events deplete energy and create waste. That's why Sauce was thrilled to partner with St. Louis Earth Day and Blue Skies Recycling to help offset depletion as much as possible. Composting and recycling were made available at each Food Truck Friday event and will be again this 2012 season.

Also, we will have Food Truck Friday "Truckie" tees available for purchase. Maybe even trucker hats if we can swing it!
