Last week the St. Louis Style team went to Playa Del Carmen in Mexico to celebrate surpassing our 2016 goals and to brainstorm on a strategy to achieve our 2017 goals.
Playa Del Carmen was the perfect destination. We were able to get a direct, 2.5 hour flight to Cancun through Frontier Airlines and then it was a 45 minute drive to Playa. We were on the beach by mid-day! Last time I went to Playa was about 12 years ago and the town had just a central square with some restaurants around it…..now it is large and glamorous!
The restaurants resembled what you would find in Vegas…expansive, well designed and great food. We stayed at The Thompson Hotel in the Central Business District. What a great hotel…stylish…great staff….fun rooftop pool and yummy food.
We were also able to walk a couple blocks to The Thompson Beach Club to use their beachfront and pool. I was really impressed with Playa and would go back. The perfect place for a 3 night jaunt! Please note that Playa is definitely a party destination….less collegy and more for the hip crowd.
