I have been meaning to get to Robata of Maplewood for some time. I am glad I had the opportunity to check out this fabulous restaurant. We were delighted with the meal! Even though we were full, we simply had to try out Maplewood’s newest specialty ice-cream parlor. This place was also a winner! Have you been to either? Let me know in the comments below.

In Japanese cuisine, robatayaki (炉端焼き, literally translates to “fireside-cooking”), often shortened to just robata (ろばた in hiragana), refers to a method of cooking – similar to barbecue, in which items of food on skewers are slow-grilled over hot charcoal.
