With the holiday season in full effect, I thought it might be a good time to start the newest part of the blog. I will be making a Q&A video where I answer your burning questions! Please leave a comment or send an email to [email protected] containing the questions you want answered. Here are some possible topics:
-Questions about my listings
-My personal properties (like the farm)
-My favorite style of homes
-Restaurant recommendations
-Stylish parties
-Anything!
Please don’t hesitate if you have a question! I need a bunch!
I’d be interested in learning about the real estate photography you produce.
What type of camera do you use?
What type of editing software do you use?
Any photography/editing tips and tricks?
Hello Wesley! I appreciate your questions. In actuality I generally hire freelance photographers because I know that with real estate, good photos are integral to selling a home. The photographer that I generally use has a few Nikon DSLR cameras, but I believe he specifically uses the D800 as often as possible. In terms of editing, we usually use a program called “Affinity Pro”, which has a lot of similar functionality to something like photoshop, but is much cheaper. In terms of tips, I would say that if you are going to take your own photos, you can probably use your phone (if you have a newer iPhone especially), but you want to keep a few things in mind, which is why I would recommend doing a search on youtube on a “how to” for real estate photos. Some of the things to keep in mind are: lighting, angle, shakiness, etc. There are a lot of do’s and font’s that can really make or break your photos. There is a plethora of information and tutorials online that I would recommend that you take advantage of. If you have any other specific questions, shoot an email over to [email protected]
Thanks!
